Position: PhD Student Teaching: Demonstrator and marker for Remote Sensing subjects in the Department, also lectured Remote Sensing for Environmental Science at the University in 1998 (in Joe's absence). Marking for numerous other subjects over the last 3 years. Research: Research involves measurement of benthic habitat and morphology using single and stereo video systems.

Biography: Irene gained her Bachelor of Geomatics & Bachelor of Science (Environmental) in 1996 from the University of Melbourne. Her Geomatics final year project involved using curve and ratio descriptors to accurately identify individual dolphins. Water resources was her primary area of interest during her science degree.
