The Department owns and operates
a Titan III Commando Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV).
ROVs are often used for close range inspection generally with oblique angles. They are also used in studies of shipwrecks and geomorphological phonomena. The equipment is limited by it cable depth, which currently allows it to be used to depths of around 30m. Projects that have used this equipment include:
