Plan Plotting and ContouringIntroductionOne of the main functions of field surveying is to acquire data on the shape and position of features on the ground, and to somehow delineate this information on maps and plans so as to make this data useful for other observers. These maps and plans can range from elaborate embellished works of art through to clinical but functional engineering plans, all based on some fundamentals of graphical communication. This section will deal with the creation of clinical but functional plans of survey.
