Setting Out Vertical Curves

  1. Determine gradients, compute curve length.

  2. Fix chainages of tangent points and intersection, and their levels.

  3. Compute grade levels at required distances along tangents.
Grade level = level of A + px , or level of B + qx

d. Compute offsets from tangent, y = (p + q)x2
200L
e. Compute curve levels, from A + px  + (p + q)x2 or similarly from point B.
