Factors Which Influence The Use Of Resection

• Instrument needs to be set up on unknown points.
• Not necessary to physically occupy known points.
• Need to be able to sight to three or more known points.
• Clear lines of sight needed between known and unknown points. There is no need to physically travel between the target and reference points.
• Accuracy dependant upon the precision of instrument used.
