Biography
Mohammad Awrangjeb is a Research Fellow in the Department of Geomatics of The University of Melbourne since July 2008. The current project is on Automated Feature Extraction from Space, Aerial & Terrestrial Imagery (Project 2.1 of the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information (CRCSI)) lead by Prof. Clive S. Fraser.
He finished his Ph.D. in 2008 from the Gippsland School of Information Technology under the Faculty of IT of Monash University, M.Sc. in 2004 from the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS), and B.Sc. Engg. in 2002 from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He was a recipient of a number of national and international merit scholarships and funds during his studies.
His research interests include Automatic Feature Detection and Matching, Image Processing, Watermarking, Data Mining, and Mobile Robot Vision. He is a member of Australian Computer Society (ACS).
