Current Projects
Integration of Built and Natural Environmental Datasets within National SDI Initiatives - this research project aims to better understand and describe the technical, jurisdictional, institutional, legal and land policy perspective surrounding the integration of multi-sourced spatial data in a National SDI. The research is investigating the justification for integrating these two forms of spatial data in support of sustainable development and develops a model and framework capable of being used in diverse jurisdictions. Designing Land Administration Systems to Support Modern Land Markets - this project is describing the evolution of land markets in the context of their supporting LAS infrastructure and identifying an infrastructure capable of servicing all levels of trading activity, including trading in complex commodities. This description focuses on explaining how markets created abstract and secondary products, how markets repackaged land to permit new styles of close-density living, and how new products are being made out of data available about land and land based activities.
