There are two divisions of PDA that are actively involved in international programs, both in training of people from the region in the solutions applied by PDA and in the transfer of these skills in-country through the development of similar programs to those operating in Thailand (like TBIRD, SEED, AIDS prevention and so on).
The Asian Centre for Population Development (ACPD) is concerned with the operation of educational programs for training officers and program planners from NGOs, Government Ministries and donor agencies. Follow this link for more information on the courses planned for 1998, and further details on the operation of the ACPD.
The Population Development International (PDI) arm of PDA is concerned with establishing projects like those in operation in Thailand at the request of neighbouring countries. Currently PDI is involved in projects in Burma/Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos. Follow this link for details on the current programs.
PDA has an international reputation and presence, not only through the activities of these two divisions of PDA but also through the reputation the organisation and its Chairman have for excellence in social development and environment protection.
This page forms part of the Home Pages of the Population and Community Development Association (PDA) Thailand. The site has been created by Cliff Ogleby with the assistance of many of the PDA staff and volunteers.
