PDA operates a wide variety of programs designed to serve and assist the rural poor of Thailand. These programs cover such diverse activities as free vasectomies, income generation programs at village level, forest replanting schemes, vegetable banks, industry relocation into rural areas, mobile health clinics, environmental education programs, and even a democracy project.

This Web site has been designed to provide information on the many operations of PDA, grouped under several general activity areas. You are welcome to browse this site to discover how one organisation can make a difference to the lives of the rural poor in Thailand.

For over 24 years PDA has been involved in providing affordable access to health and medical services, as well as being on of the world's leading organisations dealing with population management, health care, AIDS awareness and education and sanitation.

A wide range of environmental activities are conducted by PDA, covering issues such as afforestation, water supply and sanitation, forest management, education and demonstration of alternative agricultural practices and fuel sources.
